DIF Celaya to host regional Cachibol tournament / @jmendozamarquez @municipiocelaya >>>

#Celaya, #Gto.- On April 27th, the facilities of DIF Celaya will host a regional Cachibol tournament organized by the State DIF with the participation of 8 municipalities in the region.

It is the first time that Celaya is chosen for this regional tournament after the pandemic, said the President of the Board of Trustees of the DIF Celaya System, Rosa María Suárez de Mendoza after holding a meeting with the director of Senior Citizens of DIF State, Ana Laura Moguel Solache.

«We will be very happy to welcome the seniors who will be part of this great sports festival that beyond the competition, it is about physical activation but above all, healthy coexistence and that is why I thank the State DIF for choosing their home, Celaya, for this important event,» said the President of the Board of Trustees.

Moguel Solache explained that there will be 12 seniors per team and 8 teams participating; the invited municipalities will be Apaseo el Alto, Apaseo el Grande, Comonfort, Cortazar, Juventino Rosas, Tarimoro and Villagrán.

It is worth mentioning that cachibol is a sport similar to volleyball, with the difference that the ball is caught and not hit, it is designed to improve the gross motor skills of older adults, allowing them to have a healthy old age.
